Custom Plush Production Timeline

Timeframes depend on the quantity, complexity and scope of each project, but a typical custom plush project takes approximately 3 months from initial development to arrival.

General timeline:

1. Design review and project brief: Approximately 1 week

   We review the mascot artwork, size requirements, branding details and intended use of the plush toy.

2. Sample development: Approximately 2–3 weeks

   A production sample is developed based on the approved design direction.

3. Sample air freight and client approval: Approximately 7–10 days

   We fly in the sample for the client to review and approve before moving into bulk production.

4. Bulk production: Approximately 4–5 weeks

   Once the sample is approved, production begins.

5. Shipment: Approximately 4–5 weeks

   Finished goods are shipped to South Africa
   Air Freight option 7-10 days

Yes. We can help guide the plush design and development process, but we do need a starting point such as a mascot image, logo, sketch, character reference or clear visual direction. The more information supplied upfront, the easier it is to develop an accurate sample.

Yes. There is an initial design and sample development fee of R3,500 ex. Vat. 
This covers the first stage of sample development and is deducted from the final order value should the full production order be approved.

The client retains ownership of their original mascot artwork, logo and brand assets. Any plush toy pattern, technical specifications and sample development created by Snuggle Squad remain the property of Snuggle Squad unless otherwise agreed in writing.

• For larger production runs, orders may be shipped directly from our manufacturing partners in China to your destination, helping reduce freight costs and transit times.
• We can also assist with import and logistics guidance where required.

Absolutely. We regularly work with clients who only have a concept, sketch, mascot, or reference image. Our team can assist with design development, plush pattern creation and sample production before moving into manufacturing.
